Bilateral relations between Slovenia and Albania are, despite current Covid-19 situation, friendly and overall positive. Slovenia believes there are many opportunities for further engagement, also in the field of EU integration of Albania.

Cooperation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs is intensive: Slovenia hosted a visit in July for the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Mr. Cakaj, there are also regular political consultations at the level of political directors (last in February 2019 in Ljubljana).
