Government priorities

The following five priorities are among the most important tasks of the Slovenian government that has set for the coming year: accessible, high-quality and effective healthcare, efficient use of EU funds, digitalisation, a modern system of science and innovation as the primary driver of development, and national security.  

Among the others are also: Slovenian Presidency of the EU Council in 2021, stability of public finances, sustainable and interdependent pension system, restructuring of tax burdens at the expense of labour costs, infrastructure, energy efficiency, simplification of procedures with the aim of faster decision-making, arrangement of the labour market and education system for the needs of the economy.
